New Resource Live: Handbook for Parents and Carers of Professionally Performing Children

The NNCEE, in collaboration with the Agents of Young Performers Association (AYPA), Spotlight, and Sensible Creative, is pleased to announce that the new Handbook for Parents and Carers of Professionally Performing Children is now available online. The content of this Handbook has been directly shaped based on the research we conducted last year. 

Navigating professional child performance can present a steep learning curve for families, especially those who don’t have a background in the sector. This resource provides practical, industry-vetted guidance to support parents and carers in advocating for their child’s safety, education, health and general wellbeing. 

It is free and available via the NNCEE website with no need for a sign up or download.

We strongly encourage all members to share this handbook with parents and carers.

Directing families to this resource early in the licensing process ensures parents understand their role, know their legal rights, and are equipped to partner effectively with local authorities, chaperones and production teams.

To make sharing as easy as possible, a two-page summary document will also be available for members to download. This handy overview can be directly attached to any licensing emails or correspondence sent out to families.
