NNCEE Chaperone Survey

Published: 1st July 2025

From the NNCEE (the National Network of Children in Employment and Entertainment), the Agents of Young Performers Association (AYPA) and BBC Safeguarding comes the largest and most ambitious national consultation ever conducted in this sector. https://www.nncee.org.uk/

We are reaching out to those with experience of being professional chaperones to children up to the age of 16 who perform professionally to get a sense of what's working and what isn't so that everyone (children and grown-ups) can be supported to do their best work. You might get the link a few times over the coming months from different places as we try and gather as many responses as possible.

The long-term aim of this study is to produce a new handbook for both parents and chaperones later in the year.

The link to the questionnaire is here

There are 25 questions in this consultation document, and it should take about half an hour to fill in. All responses will be anonymous; no contact information is collected by filling in this form.

It will be open until September 1st, 2025.
