NNCEE Chair Interviewed by BBC

The Chair of the NNCEE, Ed Magee, appeared on BBC Look East News last night in relation to recent court case where a theatre group owner has been found guilty of offences against teenage girls who were attending his groups. The full article can be read here: Theatre group owner found guilty

When asked to comment on this case before undertaking the interview shown above Ed Magee stated "The NNCEE is deeply saddened to hear about this case and the abuse of the young women.  Auditions are not part of the child performance regulations and we would advise all parents to ensure they are with their children during auditions.  Parents and anyone else involved with productions can use the NNCEE "Report Concerns" button on our website at www.nncee.org.uk  Concerns will be passed to the local authority where the production or the employer is located so it can be investigated."
